June is Pride Month and at my house, we’re already excited! We obviously love to travel, but let’s be honest, there are only so many LGBTQ+-friendly destinations that feel truly safe and welcoming; sometimes it feels easiest to just stay home. But, Pride isn’t just happening at home! There are many safe destinations celebrating in big ways throughout the month of June!
So if you’re looking for a travel experience that’s both exciting and safe for LGBTQ+ travelers, you’re in the right place! Whether you want to dance in the streets at a massive Pride parade, relax on a sun-soaked beach, or immerse yourself in queer history and culture, these destinations will make you feel welcome and safe.

1. New York City, New York – The OG Pride
Home to the historic Stonewall Uprising, NYC’s Pride is where it all began, setting the stage for the global LGBTQ+ rights movement.

- Why Go: It’s one of the largest Pride celebrations in the world, packed with events like the PrideFest street fair, the glamorous Pride Island party, and, of course, the legendary NYC Pride March.

Boston is home for us so I’m a little biased but this is a winner for me! Also, Fenway Park hosts its annual Pride night on Monday June 9th this year. Register early and get a replica Pride jersey and hat this year!

6. Madrid, Spain – Europe’s Largest Pride

Spain’s capital transforms into a giant fiesta for Pride, with Gran Vía and Plaza de España buzzing with parades, parties, and fierce inclusivity.
