Best Hotels in Bali (By Area & Budget)

Choosing where to stay in Bali isn’t about finding the fanciest resort – it’s about being in the right place at the right time.

If you’re following my Ultimate 2-Week Bali Guide, these hotel recommendations are organized by region and travel style, so you can move through Bali without wasting hours in traffic or blowing your budget.

I’ve included options at different price points in each area, because Bali does affordable really well – especially when you know where to look.

Note: “Budget” in Bali often means clean, comfortable, and well-located – not hostel-level basic.

I usually compare prices on both Booking.com and Expedia because availability and cancellation policies can vary a lot in Bali – especially during peak season.

Booking Tips for Bali Hotels

  • Location matters more than star rating
  • Breakfast included = big value
  • Read recent reviews (things change fast)
  • Don’t overbook – flexibility is key in Bali

Bali has incredible value, but standards can vary – I always prioritize location, recent reviews, and flexible cancellation over star ratings.

I compare prices using Booking.com and Expedia to find the best deals and flexible cancellation.

If you’re still deciding where to base yourself, start with my Where to Stay in Bali for 2 Weeks guide – then come back here to book with confidence.
